From childhood, Fiona was a keen gymnast and dancer and studied modern dance into her twenties when she also practised yoga. Her other passion was books and she worked in publishing before re-connecting with her initial passion of movement and somatic well-being. It was in 2004 following an accident that she became a client of Karin Locher, founder of Spatial Medicine, and her thirst for knowledge on how to re-balance and re-store her whole body health through movement led her to first study with Body Control (Certified in 2005) and then with Polestar Education (Studio Certified in 2007) and then with Centre for Spatial Medicine (Certified in 2008).
Chie is our Yoga Alliance and Yoga Alliance Org Accredited Senior Yoga Teacher. Originally from Japan, she started practising yoga 13 years ago because of stress, poor diet and an unhealthy lifestyle. She has been teaching in Japan and New York for 9 years and completed her 500hr teacher training at Dharma yoga. She is also certified as a Prenatal Yoga teacher (Urban Yoga) and a children's yoga teacher (Karma Kids Yoga)
Jo decided to embark on the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course to share the benefits of yoga with others. She is now a qualified teacher and a member of the Yoga Alliance.
Jo's classes are practical, sipportvie and accessible to all, allowing students to develop at their own pace with curiosity, playfulness and integrity.
Emma is a qualified teacher after completion of 200hrs Yoga Teacher training with Claire Murphy Yoga and is a member of Yoga Alliance. Emma is also the director of Real Life Clothing.
Emma is married with 3 children and has found that practising yoga has provided her with a sense of balance and inner peace.
Martina fell in love with yoga almost 20 years ago and is a passionate practitioner ever since.
She is qualified with Claire Murphy Yoga UK, Sivananda Yoga Austria and Calm for Kids.
She is a member of the Yoga Alliance. Martina likes to share her love for yoga combining it with her passion to empower people and to nurture a sense of wellbeing and calm
Cherish has been practicing Yoga from a young age (practicing Yoga for over 12 years) and strongly believes Yoga has shaped her into the person she is today. Yoga has taught her how to live life with clarity, wellness and strength - which is exactly what she brings to every one of her classes at Santosha. She is grateful to her yoga practice and wholeheartedly dedicates the essence of Yoga into her classes.
Cherish is a Yoga Alliance Professionals accredited teacher and has been teaching at Santosha studio for over 3 years.
Beverly was inspired on a trip to California to finally commit to a regular yoga practice and returned home to look for a teacher an venue that lived up to the one she found in America. Her search led her to the Santosha Studiio. Her love of how yoga makes her feel physically and emotionally made her decide to complete her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Claire Murphy Yoga. She now teaches our Yoga for Lunch class.
Yoga has been an important part of Jo’s life for over a decade. After 20 years in medical research and studying with world renowned teachers she finally made the move to follow her heart and start teaching yoga. She has a passion for practices that support individuals dealing with chronic stress, anxiety and depression, as well as conditions such as CFS/ME, fibromyalgia, and cancer related fatigue. She is fully qualified with Claire Murphy Yoga and a member of Yoga alliance.
Jane worked as a solicitor in a highly stressful environment for 17 years, before making the leap to pursue her dream of teaching yoga. Yoga was undoubtedly a lifeline for Jane during her latter corporate years, as well as those hazy days of having young kids. Jane hopes to share even a little spark of the magic that yoga has brought to her life, by providing a space where students are able to
find some calm and balance.
Jane is qualified with Chie Sibbring Teaching Training, Rainbow Kids Yoga and is also a member of Yoga Alliance Professionals.
Rosemary has taught for over 30 years as a primary school teacher and has spent at least half of that developing her yoga practise, appreciating the calmness and sense of wellbeing it has bought to her life. In recent years she has begun to combine her joy of both her teaching and yoga within the classroom, recognising the beneficial effects it has on the children’s learning and sense of self. She qualified as a yoga teacher with Chie Sibbring and is also a children’s yoga teacher.
Pete took up yoga while in the RAF to combat the stress of flying and injuries sustained competing in various sports.
To deepen his practice he spent time in India, Bali and Nassau to study and practice various types of yoga before completing his Yoga Alliance Profesionals training with Chie Sibbring Yoga at Santosha Studio.
Pete is aware of the impact injuries and illness can have. His yoga embraces strength and mobility, combined with the restorative effect of meditation.
Lisa's yoga journey began whilst going through a dark time in her life. Yoga and meditation helped to bring about balance and a sense of spiritual connection.
Lisa decided to do her 200hr yoga teacher training with Chie Sibbring Yoga and is also working towards her Reiki level 2.
Lisa is looking forward to sharing knowledge with others and hoping someone else can receive the benefits of yoga just how she did.
