Align your Asana

Sunday 26th August

10 - 12pm

with Cherish Jackson

£15 early bird price until 12th August, £18 thereafter.

Learning about asana (pose) alignment helps you to practice your Yoga safely and with a strength that boosts confidence and freedom.

Asana alignment also helps shift your focus to a much more present part of your self. When learning about asana alignment, the concentration you give to your physical body has a profound effect on the inward listening you have to your emotional state as well.

Self-observation and self-study is an integral part to a yoga practice. As we become more sensitive to our physical body, we realise it can offer feedback to our lifestyle and choices as well.

How would your relationships change or attitude at work if you consciously cultivated being present, steady and relaxed on a regular basis?.

The Yoga of Acceptance

Saturday 29th September

2 - 5pm

with Claire Murphy

£30 early bird price until 15th September, £35 thereafter.

So much of the time we practice yoga to get something or get somewhere. There is a sense that we are not enough and must do something to be more, to be better. How many times have you noticed yourself pushing
for a particular pose, to work “on” an injury, to work “on” ourself or to achieve something we believe we should be able to do.

Whilst I applaud all efforts at self growth it can sometime be a mask for self-loathing…we need to be more to be enough.

This workshop will provide the space to fully see and accept ourselves just as we truly are in the moment and observe the truth that we are ever-changing. The paradox is that when we fully accept ourselves, we find we can become so much more than we ever thought possible. We will get to know ourselves, our reactivity, our blinkers, our triggers and welcome it all.

Open to everyone – no pretzel poses, just bring your open awareness.

Happy Hips

Saturday 28th October

10 - 1pm

with Jo Duffy

£20 early bird price until 14th October, £25 thereafter

It's hardly surprising that many of us have tight hips...

We spend much of our time being sedentary and a lot of time sitting down - to travel, to work, to socialise, to relax.
Modern life is often hectic and stressful, stimulating our fight or flight reflex which causes our hip flexors to grab.
Energetically the hips are the seat of our emotions, which should allow the body to adapt and change with whatever life throws at us. However, our emotional energy often gets trapped creating tension and restricted movement in the hips.

If the hips don't move, nor do we!

Tightness in the hips restricts the movement of the legs and the spine and can lead to secondary problems in the back and also in the knees, ankles and feet. Emotionally it can leave us rigid and stuck.

We are all individual, so there's no one magic answer that works for everyone.

So come and spend a morning discovering how and where you have movement and where you don't. We'll explore lots of different ways of releasing the tension in the hips, allowing you to let go and find more movement in your body and more freedom in your mind.

This workshop is suitable for anyone with tight hips (most of us!), tight hamstrings (many of us!), tight lower back (far too many of us!) or anyone who finds going with the flow of life to be a challenge...
