I was first made aware of the benefits of Pilates by a surgeon who following knee surgery recommended that I improved my posture and core strength and dealt with the muscle imbalances to prevent further injury when running. Following a serious car accident, and with many months of painful physiotherapy, I was yet again encouraged to try Pilates.
After several months of gentle and progressive sessions at The Santosha Studio, I began to feel the benefits every day, finding Pilates a great stress reliever. In 2008, took the momentous decision to re-train as a Pilates Teacher.
I completed the initial Fundamentals training with Future Fit Training and have since completed Intermediate and Advanced training courses and Postural Correction and Assesment with Intelligent Fitness. Registered on REP'S, Register of Exercise Professionals.
Esmee Samara's passion for teaching Pilates grew out of her own experience when she discovered its benefits 11 years ago. Esmee initally trained as a fitness to music instructor then shortly after gaining a distinction in this discipline continued to gain her qualification as a Pilates instructor.
In addition to her teaching qualifications Esmee has a wider range of interests, which are fuelled by her love for life, and the desire to continually seek self improvement and support others to do the same. Esmee also holds a certificate as a Life coach and at present is studying to become a certified NLP master trainer.
Esmee's belief is simple; 'What the mind can conceive, the will can achieve"
I am certified with the internationally recognised academies; Body Control, Polestar and Contrology-Pilates-Method. Karin Locher, principle of Contrology-Pilates-Method is one of only eight certified PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) teachers in the UK. I continue my professional development consistently. I had an intensive week’s training with Lolita San-Miguel, who was herself certified by Joseph Pilates, and have worked with visiting teachers, Siri Galliano and Jay Grimes.
I teach at two studios in Hertfordshire in addition to The Santosha Studio in Chippenham, where I run the only fully-equipped studio in Wiltshire. I am available for private one-to-one and duet studio sessions.

Jill is a life-long fitness enthusiast and a keen runner and cyclist. She has 21 years experience in the health and fitness industry having first qualified as an RSA Exercise to Music Instructor in 1990. Following a lower spinal disc injury in 2000 she was advised by her Osteopath to try Pilates. After several sessions of remedial Pilates exercises, she began to feel the benefits as her back strengthened, pelvis realigned and the chronic lower back and sciatic pain disappeared.
Inspired by the very impressive recuperative and restorative benefits of the technique back-care and postural training with the Institute. Jill currently holds the Level 3 Advanced Pilates teachers qualification and is on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). She has most recently taken further training in ‘Postural Correction and Analysis’, with Intelligent Fitness.
