Frequently Asked Questions
I have never tried Yoga/Pilates before, can I just turn up?
Yes, beginners are welcome but please choose a basic level class and try to arrive 10 minutes early to meet your instructor and complete a joiner’s form. Our classes operate on a drop in basis
I have previously practiced Yoga/Pilates but am not sure what level class to attend
You could join a beginners class and talk to an instructor about different levels, visit different levels explained on this web site or contact us on 01249 444242 and we will guide you in the right direction. It is always worth remembering that the most experienced student can still benefit from a basic level class
What should I wear?
For both yoga and pilates you should wear comfortable loose fitting clothing enabling you to stretch bend and twist. We also stock a range of “Be Present” yoga clothing which can be seen in the studio or at yogagoodies.co.uk from the link on this site
Do I need my own equipment?
No, we provide both Yoga and pilates mats for your class. We also provide blocks, straps, balance balls and everything else required to maximize your benefit and enjoyment of your class. But please bring a smile!
I have an injury or back problem or am pregnant, will Yoga/Pilates be suitable for me?
Both Yoga and Pilates, properly practiced can be beneficial to many injuries and conditions. Please contact us if you are unsure or advise your instructor of any problems you have prior to the commencement of your practice
